Queen Liliʻuokalani Celebration - September 9th
Hotel guests and the Hilo community are invited to enjoy music, fun and food in a celebration of the birth of Hawaiian icon Queen Liliʻuokalani. The celebration coincides with the one-year anniversary of the resort’s “Ka ‘Imi Pono”, a program committed to protecting, preserving, and perpetuating the Hawaiian culture by emphasizing the history of Hawaiʻi Island, the Hawaiian language-ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, and the sense of place for the location of Makaʻokū on the Waiākea Peninsula.
In the wake of the catastrophic Maui wildfires, Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo will donate a portion of event proceeds to relief efforts, matched dollar-for-dollar by Hilton Corporation.
